The short version. MyDay has no accounts and does not ask for
your name, email, phone number, or any personal details. What you post is
anonymous and public. We don't track you, show ads, or sell data.
Information we process
Content you share: your daily mood rating, optional text,
and an optional photo. This is posted publicly and stored on our servers.
An anonymous device reference: a one-way, irreversible
token derived from your device. We use it only to enforce the one-post-per-day
limit and to apply moderation actions. It is not linked to your
identity, and we cannot use it to contact you or track you across other apps
or websites.
Photo capture date: if you attach a photo, we read its
capture date to label how recent it is. We do not collect the photo's location
or other embedded metadata.
We do not collect your location, contacts, device
identifiers for advertising, or usage analytics.
How we use it
To show your post in the public "today" feed.
To enforce one post per day and keep the community safe (moderation,
handling reports, and blocking abusive devices).
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:
OpenAI — your text and photos are sent to OpenAI's
moderation service to detect prohibited content before a post
appears. OpenAI does not use this content to train its models.
Cloudflare — hosting, database, and image storage.
Apple — device-integrity checks (App Attest / DeviceCheck)
to prevent fraud and abuse.
We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
Data retention
Posts leave the public feed after 24 hours; they may be retained on our
servers after that for integrity and safety.
Content blocked by moderation, and reports, are kept for up to 7 days for
review and then automatically deleted.
Your choices
Because posting is fully anonymous with no account, we generally cannot
identify which posts belong to a given person, and therefore cannot delete an
individual's posts on request. You can report any post in the app (via the “•••”
menu) and we will review and remove content that violates our guidelines.
Children
MyDay is not directed to children. Because it contains unfiltered,
user-generated content from the public, it is intended for users aged 17 and
older.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with our
infrastructure provider. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure,
but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be
reflected by updating the date above.
